Back to School President’s Note
Welcome back to a new school year! As we all know, this year will look like none other. It will be more important than ever for our PTO to be engaged with our families, our kids and our teachers. Our PTO team has been working hard all summer to bring new and creative activities to our Butler 53 community to help bring a little fun to the school year and to make sure that our teachers know how much we care about them and support them. For now, we want to make sure that we allow time for families and teachers to adjust to a new way of doing things at school, but you can keep an eye out for more details about our plans on our PTO website www.butler53PTO.com.
To kick off the start of the new school year, the PTO will be hosting our first ever Back to School Virtual Fun Run/Walk. Details and registration for this event can be found on our website. Details regarding our after school virtual clubs are in the process of being finalized and will be posted in the very near future. We will also be hosting grade level Virtual Meet and Greet sessions for parents within the next few weeks so please mark your calendars for that and join us for some parent networking.
We know that this year will bring a unique set of challenges and whether your family has chosen remote learning or in person, we are all part of one Butler 53 Community and we are stronger together. Our first virtual general PTO meeting will be on September 4th at 9:00am via Zoom. We will be looking forward to meeting you there.
